Six CHEER researchers discussed the Hub’s latest research on the Cascadia CoPes Hub/Cascadia Coastal Hazards Research Coordination Network's “First Thursday” virtual seminar series.

Researchers Rachel Davidson, Ertugrul Taciroglu, Meghan Millea, Brian Colle, A.R. Siders, and post-doctoral researcher Julie Elliott presented CHEER’s latest milestones and highlights during the Cascadia CoPes Hub/Cascadia Coastal Hazards Research Coordination Network (RCN)‘s “First Thursday” Seminar Series.

More than 50 participants from various sectors, including government, academia, and industry, attended the hour-long virtual event. Highlighted topics included updates on research projects currently underway in the Hub, CHEER’s collaborative work with its various partners, and an overview of the STARR Framework. The seminar concluded with a 15-minute Q&A. 

The Cascadia CoPe Hub and Cascadia Coastal Hazards RCN host these joint monthly seminars during the academic year on topics related to coastal hazards, resilience, and adaptive capacity.
