BIOGRAPHY
Nii Otu Tackie-Otoo is a graduate student in the Civil and Environmental Engineering Department at the University of Delaware where his concentration is in Civil Infrastructure Systems. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Ghana. Prior to beginning his graduate studies at the University of Delaware, Nii Otu worked in diverse engineering fields where he gained a wide range of work experience in design, data analysis, project management, sales, and business development. His leadership abilities have seen him thrive in several professional and student leadership roles. He has a keen interest in Data Science, Machine Learning and Financial Analysis.
Nii Otu currently works as a Research Assistant under the supervision of Professor Rachel Davidson, professor in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering and a core faculty member in the Disaster Research Center. His research focuses on Natural Disaster Risk and Loss Modeling. He works on a project which is funded by the National Science Foundation (NSF).
